Donald Melvin Stanley 84, of Tillar, AR passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at University of Arkansas Medical Science in Little Rock, AR.
Mr. Stanley was lifelong resident of Tillar, AR and served in the US Air Force and US Navy before retiring. He worked as a welder and a machinist before retiring in1999. He loved to fish and hunt.
He was born on February 12, 1929 to the late Roy and Tirzah Reed Stanley in Sergent, PA.
Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pauline Stanley, two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by one son Daniel Stanley of Tillar, AR, one brother Ronnie Stanley of Kane, PA, a daughter-in-law Tressa Stanley, three grandchildren; Chasidy Stanley (Chris Cingolani), Dusty Stanley, and Ashley Barnes, six great-grandchildren; Alexis Cingolani, Hunter Barnes, Ethan Barnes, Cameron Brennon, Aden Barnes, and Hana Brennon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm Friday, March 08, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Graveside service will be at 2pm Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Tillar Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
Pallbearers: Ricky Lewis, Lonnie Lakely, Jimmy Gibbs, Steve Rogers, Lee Winders and Ronnie Reed.
