Caroll Dean Coker, 81, of Monticello, AR and formerly of McGehee, AR died Thursday July 18, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Coker was born in Humphrey, AR a son of the late Johnny and Ida Ford Coker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired as a lineman for Arkansas Power and Light Company (Entergy). He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Monticelllo, AR.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lexie Lavona Van Landingham Coker; son, Randall Dean Coker; step-son, Jimmy Murphree.
Survivors include his wife Nan Hutchison Coker of Monticello, AR.; daughters , Susan Copeland of Martin, TN, and Deborah Moore of Jackson, MO; step-daughter, Renee Conrad of McGehee, AR; step-son, David Murphree of Dickinson, TX and numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 3pm Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Jacks officiating. Burial will follow at McGehee cemetery.
