Eddy Dixon Valentine, 70, of Dermott, AR died Monday January 5, 2015 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Eddy was born June 24, 1944 to late Homer and Johnnie Widner Valentine. He loved to hunt, fish, collect arrowheads and garden. He was a licensed welder and formerly farmed before getting into the construction business.
Survivors include his wife Linda Reaves Valentine; sons, Eddy Wayne Valentine and, James Clay Valentine both of McGehee, AR and Jamie Wilhite and his wife Melisa of Monticello, AR; daughter, Wanda French and her husband Steve of McGehee, AR. brothers, Wayne Valentine of Arizona, Billy Valentine of Hot Springs, AR and Clark Valentine of Monticello, AR. grandchildren, Luke Valentine, Keith Lockwood, Hayden Valentine, Caysen Valentine, P.J. Hill and Devin French; great-grandchildren, Dallas Guzman and Dixi Lee French, Hadley Clair Mchan.
Eddy was preceded in death by his brothers Donnie Valentine, Burvil Valentine and Roy Valentine
Visitation will be 5-7pm Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, January 9, 2015 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR with Rev. Clint Pruitt officiating. Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Tindall, Paul Tyrone, Thomas Snow, James, Barnes, Robert Lewis Howell, Robert Green, Bo Vick and Pete Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Miles, Ralph Jones, Jimmie Burchfield, Boo Reaves, David Reaves, Clyde Davis, Junior Radar and Burt Ellis.
