Helen Louise Purvis, 64, of Oak Grove, LA died Tuesday, September 22, 2015. She was born in Lake Village, AR on August 1, 1951 to Jack C. and Helen Louise Ashley Reed. Helen loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping. Helen loved New Hope Baptist Church where she was a member.

She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Eddie Purvis of Oak Grove, LA; sons, Steven Ray Purvis of Oak Grove, LA and Marcus Wayne Purvis of Oak Grove, LA; brothers, Jack C. Reed of Eudora, AR, Bob Reed of Jonesboro, AR, and Bill Reed of Conway, AR; sister, Betty Reed Murphy of Carrolton, MS; grandchildren, Hunter Ray Purvis and Joseph Matthew Purvis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 6-8pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015, Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Eudora, AR. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday, September 24, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church in Eudora, AR. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR.
