Betty Allen Hicks, 78, of Eudora, AR passed away, Tuesday, July 19, 2016. She was born on January 9, 1938 to the late Abner and Hattie Morris Allen. Betty formerly worked as a School Secretary for Eudora High School before going to work as an office manager for Reeves Big Star Grocery Store and Jade’s Food Store in Oak Grove, LA. She loved to read, sew and spend time working in her flower garden. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Earl Allen.

Survivors include her husband Charles Hicks of Eudora, AR; sons, Allen Hicks and his wife Jan of Woodinville, WA, Kenneth Hicks of Hephzibah, GA and Richard Hicks of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Teresa Edwards and her husband Frank of Lebanon, TN; brothers, Billy Eason of Branson, MO and Jimmy Eason of Brandon, MS; sisters, Marjorie Hamilton of Lexington, MS and Ernestine Word of Madison, MS; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, July 22, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Eudora, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church in Eudora, AR with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
