Jackie Wayne Thorne, Sr., 57 of Dermott, AR died Monday, June 12, 2017. Jackie was born October, 2, 1959 in Greenville, MS to James Wesley Thorne, Jr. and the late Shirley Ruth Averett Thorne. He was a painter and loved his job. Jackie loved his family especially his grandchildren. Over the last two years Jackie reconnected with his father and they enjoyed spending time together. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church of Hermitage, AR.
Other than his mother he was preceded in death by his sister Davie Hutchinson.
Survivors include his wife Jamie Hallman Thorne; father, James Wesley Thorne, Jr. of Dermott, AR; sons, Jackie Thorne, Jr. and his wife Amy of Lakewood, WA, Daniel Thorne and his wife Rebecca of Monticello, AR, John Sheffield and his wife Cameron of Dermott, AR, Stevan Fernandez of Dayton, TN, Mickael Fernandez of Conway, AR and Jeffery Fernandez of Heber Springs, AR; daughter, Sarah Rodriguez of Dermott, AR and twenty grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel. Cremation will follow the funeral.
