Rebecca “Becky” Duckworth Barnes, 55, of Belle Chasse, LA made her journey to heaven’s gates on July 24, 2017 at 11:46 PM at Ochsner Hospital with her loving family by her side. Becky was born to her loving mother and father, Dorothy Burgess Duckworth and the late Buford Duckworth. She is survived by her beloved husband, Captain Paul Barnes, her children, Julie (Mike), Gary (Curtis), and Sarah (Chris), her grandchildren, Blayke, Macye, Brayden, Brooklyn, and Jaxon and step-grandchildren, Micaela, Ethan, and Gavin. Also survived by her sister, Melinda “Mindy” Davis, her best friend, Carla Overton, her sister-in-law, Reba Norris, her brothers-in-law, Pete Norris and Toby Davis, her niece, Kelly, and nephews, Cole and Matt. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Becky was a loving person that helped all who crossed her path. Her loving nature, constant smile, and wonderful sense of humor made her a friend to everyone she met and worked with. Becky worked in the real estate title business for many years, owned a title company, and was a Notary Public. She mentored and encouraged so many throughout her life.

Relatives, friends, and loved ones are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6 pm until 9 pm with a prayer service in the parlor at 7 pm.

A funeral service will also be held at Eudora Baptist Church, 339 S. Archer Street, Eudora, AR on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11 am. Visitation will be held from 9 am until service time. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Eudora, AR.
