Columbus Junior Reed, 56, of McGehee, AR, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas on February 10, 1961 to the late Never and Lenora Kemper Reed. He lived with his parents until their death. His mother died when he was 2. His father passed in 1973. He lived with his grandfather (Julius Smith) until his health condition declined resulting in him going to the nursing home. Mr. Reed was admitted to the nursing home with his grandfather. He has no siblings and no close relatives. He completed the 5th grade. He attended C.B. King School in 1992 where he received an award for perfect attendance. Mr. Reed was baptized on the 18th day of February 2003 at Mt. Carmel MBC.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 21, 2017 at New Cemetery in Lake Village, AR.
