Jessie McCoy Barnett, 85, of Dermott, AR passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. Jessie was born January 7, 1933 in Booneville, AR to the late Vollie E. and Vera Stewart McCoy. She was the Secretary for the Dermott Chamber of Commerce. She formerly worked for the Dermott City Water Department and the Dermott Hospital for many years. Jessie served on the Dermott Cemetery Board. She was a member of Dermott Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband Loyd C. Barnett and a grandson Ethan Peacock.
Survivors include her son Larry Barnett and his wife Melody of Dermott, AR; brother, Jimmy Paul McCoy of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Wayne Peacock, Heather Gibson and Wendy Davis; five great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Dermott Baptist Church with Rev.
