Obituary for Clinton Allen Mote

Clinton Allen  Mote
Clinton Allen Mote, 57, of McGehee, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Clint was born December 22, 1960, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to the late Edward F. and Beatrice Stacey Mote. He was a 1979 graduate of McClellan High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Memphis State University in 1984.

Clint was employed by Entergy as an electrical engineer at the White Bluff Plant at Redfield. He formerly worked for Potlatch Corporation Cypress Bend Mill near McGehee and the Gaylord Paper Company in Pine Bluff. Clint was a deacon and dedicated member of Tillar Baptist Church where he played trumpet with the praise band. He loved camping and fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family. Clint’s quiet presence and strong work ethic endeared him to all who knew him.

Clint is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Paula Akines Mote of McGehee; son Doug (Kandice) Mote of Cabot, AR; daughters Jennifer (Mike) Kinkade of Benton, AR, Anslee Mote of Little Rock, AR, and Katie Mote of McGehee, AR; sisters Linda Flowers of Little Rock, AR, and Cindy Mote of Cabot, AR; mother-in-law Virginia Akines of McGehee, AR; and four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Peyton, Serenity, and Ivy Kate.

Visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 at Tillar Baptist Church in Tillar, AR. Reverend Kenny Hogue, Reverend Dennis Green and Reverend Jerry Starnes will officiate. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery.
