Obituary for Charlotte Annette Overton (Otts)

Charlotte Annette Otts Overton, age 60, went to be with our Lord October 20, 2011 at 4:27pm due to compounded health complications. She went peacefully in her sleep. A long time resident of Tillar, Arkansas, and Mrs. Overton’s health complications caused her to move closer to her son and daughter in Oklahoma. She resided in Foyil, Oklahoma the last eight years. However, Tillar was and will always be home.
Born in Malvern Arkansas May 27th 1951, she was the daughter of and pre-ceded in death by the late Tommy L. Otts and Hollie Ruth Otts of West Monroe, La.
She was a long time employee of the Wells-Lamont glove factory in McGehee, Arkansas and the United States Post Office in Tillar, Arkansas.
Married on August 20th 1965 in Tillar, Arkansas, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, David E. Overton also of Tillar, Arkansas who now resides in Foyil, Oklahoma. One brother Victor Otts of Delhi, Louisiana; son David Overton and wife Tracy of Foyil, Oklahoma; son Steven Overton and wife Donna of Hardy, Arkansas; daughter Rhonda Overton Blackstock and husband Shane of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Winter and Kimberly Overton; Cody, Ashley, Amber and Dylan Blackstock; Hunter and Ray Overton; Katie and Ethan Blalock; One Great-Grandchild Riley Overton; One niece and five nephews.
She was a joyous and happy person who loved her grandchildren as much as any grandmother could love them. There was always a smile on her face when she talked to her grandchildren that not even her pain could take away. If you said “hi” to her, you were going to hear about her grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled Saturday, 10/22/11 6-8pm at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service, 101 N. 2nd St. McGehee, Arkansas.
Pall bearers will be her grandsons: Cody Blackstock, Dylan Blackstock, Hunter Overton, Ray Overton, and her nephews Duane Otts, Bobby Jones, Bill Jones, and Brent Overton.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at Tillar First Baptist Church with graveside services following at Tillar Cemetery. On-line guest book may be signed at www.griffinfuneralservice.net.
