David Edgar Overton, age 65, went to be with our Lord March 18, 2012 due to compounded health issues. A long time resident of Tillar, Arkansas, he was currently residing in Foyil, Oklahoma. He had been a long time employee of Cummins State Prison and Sunbeam Corporation.

Mr. Overton is preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Annette Overton, father Herman Overton and mother Glenn Overton. He is survived by his son Dave Overton and wife Tracy of Foyil OK, son Steven Overton and wife Donna of Hardy, AR and daughter Rhonda Overton Blackstock and husband Shane of Broken Arrow, OK, brother Lemuel Overton of Tillar, AR, sister Martha Jones of Crossett, AR, 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. 6-8pm on Tuesday March 20, 2012, and funeral services are at Tillar First Baptist Church at 2pm Wednesday March 21st. Burial at Tillar Cemetery.
