James David Irons, 70, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on June 16, 1944 in Forrester, Arkansas to the late Jerry Lewis and Ethel Stanford Irons. He was a farmer and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Dale Irons and brothers, Lloyd Irons and Wayne Irons. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pruitt Irons; sons, Jerry Irons of Smackover, AR and Grover Irons of Backgate, AR; daughters, Janet Irons Sharp of Norphlet, AR, Gloria Halley of Monticello, AR, Sandra McKnight and Jackie Strickland both of Smackover, AR; brother, Harlon Irons of Jefferson, AR; sisters, Loraine Chambers of El Paso, AR. and Florine Turner of Rison, AR; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Faith Pentecostal Church of God in McGehee, AR with Rev. Robert Barnes officiating.
