Bonnie Jean Arnold Godfrey, 72, of McGehee, AR died Friday July 10, 2015 in Muskogee, OK. She was born in Dermott, AR on February 11, 1943 to the late B. C. and Lillian Jarrett Collins. Bonnie Jean taught school at Watson and McGehee before retiring after thirty years. Before teaching she worked at AT&T phone company. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in her flower garden. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McGehee, AR.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son Keith Burchfield.
Survivors include her husband, Gifford Godfrey of McGehee, AR; step-son DeWayne Godfrey and his wife Shari; step-grandchildren, Morgan Godfrey of Little Rock and Hunter Godfrey of Fayetteville, AR.
There will be no visitation. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at McGehee Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Starnes and Dr. Ed Balducci officiating. Arrangements are by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service.
