Brenda Ann Johnson, 74, of McGehee, AR passed away Sunday April 10, 2016. Brenda was born July 25, 1941 in Parkdale, AR the daughter of the late Vernon and Stella Mae Reeves Johnson. She was a longtime dietician in the cafeteria for McGehee Public Schools and the McGehee Desha County Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and spending time with family and friends. She loved flowers. Brenda was a member of Tillar Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, James “Sport” Johnson and Lee Johnson, her sister, Becky Rhein. Survivors include her son, Charles “Pete” Johnson and his wife Michelle of McGehee, AR; brother, Marvin Johnson and his wife Frieda of McGehee, AR; sister-in-law, Rosalie Johnson of McGehee, AR.
Visitation will be 5-7pm Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Tillar Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Hogue, Rev. Jerry Starnes and Rev. Larry Donaldson officiating. Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
