Eddie Ray “Pee Wee” Purvis, 66, of Oak Grove, Louisiana passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Eddie was born on March 4, 1950 in Oak Grove, LA to the late Ray and Dorothelen Garner Purvis. He worked for Deyampert Gin Trust of Wilmot, AR for over 25 years. Eddie enjoyed hunting. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Louise Reed Purvis; brothers, Joe Lee Purvis and Dale Purvis; sister, Dottie Jane Purvis. Survivors include his sons, Steven Ray Purvis of Oak Grove, LA and Marcus Wayne Purvis of Oak Grove, LA; brother, Jerry “Bud” Purvis of Kilbourne, LA; sisters, Annie Reed of Forsyth, GA, Betty Dennis of McGehee, AR, Cathy Johnson of Pensacola, FL, Patty Eskew of Monroe, LA, and Kelly Young of Plummerville, AR; grandchildren, Hunter Purvis and Jo Jo Purvis.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church in Oak Grove, LA with Rev. Johnny Cook, Sr., Rev. Archie Haley, and Rev. Rayburn McLarrin officiating.
