Dorothy Jean Love Johnson, 85, of Lake Village, AR peacefully departed her life Monday, September 12, 2016 at Chicot Memorial Hospital from heart failure. Dorothy was born on December 12, 1930 in Oxford, MS to the late Carson White and Ivy Love. She was a very spiritual person who always put God the head of her life. Dorothy was a women who made sacrifices for her loved ones who needed a helping hand. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Will Johnson; her daughter, Ivy Boyd and a grandson, Mose Lezell Boyd. Survivors include her 10 grandchildren, Chester, James, Yvonnie, Carl, Dorothy, Alfred, Mossie, Aretha, Angla, Nazareth; 27 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.
Visitation will be 5:30-6:30pm Friday, September 16, 2016 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village, AR. Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Woodson Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Village, AR with Rev. C.S. Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodson Temple Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
