Condolences

Condolence From: Glenda Bowman Young
Condolence: I was sad to hear about Bro. Thad. He was dedicated to serving First Assembly. People do not realize how many hours he gave to physically doing things for the church without any pay or special recognition. He always let his light shine. His family members shared his passion and love for First Assembly. He was so proud to have his family serve at the church with him. I always loved it when J.D. and Bro. Thad got "wound up" when singing and playing. I can still see the smiles on their faces and hear Peggy laughing. Although I know there is a reunion going on in heaven, my thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. Bro. Thad looked for no reward on earth for his service to the church and God. He always said he wanted to hear Well Done and Welcome Home. He accomplished his goal. Bro. Thad is celebrating this Christmas in a magnificent way!! I pray that in the days to come God will strengthen and comfort the family and his many friends.
In Christ's Love,
Glenda

Condolence From: Paul Roberts
Condolence: Thad was one of the best baseball players from the 1950 & 1960 era. He was a second baseman who turned many double plays after the first throw from Bobby Joe Hickenbottom, the short stop. Thad was a clutch hitter who got many base hits by bunting the ball. He was an avid golfer who teamed with Raymond Petty to win many flights of golf. He won many televisions as the winning prize!
Thad was a great friend.

Condolence: To family of Thad. Family & Friends. Its sad to lose someone in death. What helped me the most was prayers and faith in God’s promise at Psalm 34:18 “God is close to the broken heart: he saves those who are crushed in spirit.” For more comforting scriptures, please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. God’s Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for will bring about these wonderful promises. My prayers are with you at this difficult time. If you wish to contact me at: ikeyes@msn.com
