Sarah Allene Jacobs, 93, of Pine Bluff passed away Friday, June 16th at the Davis Life Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Ms. Jacobs was born July 30, 1923 in Rowher, AR to the late L. C. Ryals and Mary Alice Williams Ryals. Ms. Jacobs was a United States Army Veteran in WW II, a retired seamstress and a member of the Hawley Memorial United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff. Other affiliations include being a member of the Pines Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #517 and American Legion Post #32. She was inducted into the Women’s U.S. Army Corps in 1944 and she received an honorable medical discharge the same year. She was Past Matron of the Lake Village Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, lifetime member of Mississippi State University Alumni Association. Ms. Jacobs was a seamstress for the Henry Marx Men’s Store, Billy Bell’s Men’s Store and Dillard’s Department Store, all in Pine Bluff, AR.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Willie Ryals, Lester Ryals, Felix Ryals and Otis Ryals; sisters, Eunice Ryals, Lorene Walters, Johnnie Ryals, Robbie Ryals and Bobbie Ryals. Survivors include her daughter, Denise Reichen of Pine Bluff, AR; granddaughter, Haleigh Reichen of Pine Bluff, AR.

Graveside memorial services will be held 11 am Monday, June 26th at the Little Rock National Cemetery with military honors.
