Michael Patrick “Pat” Denton, 67, of McGehee, AR passed away Thursday, October 6, 2017. Pat was born in McGehee, AR on May 14, 1950 to the late John Elan Denton and Norma Ragland Denton. He worked at Potlatch (Clearwater) for 34 years from 1979 until he retired in 2012. Pat loved nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His favorite place to go was riding the levee and Choctaw Island. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Desha Lodge # 643 in McGehee for many years.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Bill Denton. Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Denton Freeze of McGehee, AR and Jamie (Eddie) OConnor of McGehee, AR; son, Chad (Janice) Denton of Monticello, AR; brothers, John (Lin) Denton of Elmira, NY and Chris (Carol) Denton of Ashville, NC; grandchildren, Miles Robbins of Fayetteville, AR, Collin OConnor of McGehee, AR, Elan Denton of Monticello, AR and Mason OConnor of McGehee, AR.

Visitation will be held at 1:30-2:30 pm, Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Eddie Holt officiating. Burial will be held at McGehee Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elijah Allen, Larry Tubbs, Don Halferty, Lloyd Evans, Johnny Walker, Chris Sims and Mike Sims. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmie Birchfield.
