Eddy Gene Cherry 66, of Tillar, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was born in Dumas, AR on February 1, 1951 to the late Ed and Emma Chambers Cherry. Eddy graduated from McGehee High School. He worked for UPS for 36 ½ years. Eddy enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time at Greers Ferry Lake. He was a member and deacon at Kelso Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Cherry. He is survived by his wife, Diana Waldrup Cherry; daughters, Jammi (Scott) Bice of Rogers, AR and Jennifer Cherry of Dumas, AR; brothers, Ronny (Donna) Cherry of Crockett, TX and Carl (Darlene) Cherry of Log Cabin, LA; sister Darlene (Chuck) Hearn of Glenwood, AR and a host of friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held 5-7pm Monday, October 30, 2017 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Kelso Baptist Church in Kelso, AR with Rev. Ben White and Rev. Terry Sayer officiating. Burial will be at Tillar Cemetery.
