James Harold “Buddy” Irons, 72, of McGehee, AR passed away Monday, January 8, 2018. Buddy was born in Gould, AR a son of the late Harold Nelson and Lucille Hollis Allen Irons. He worked at Wells Lamont Glove Factory for over thirty years. He was a truck driver for many years and he also retired from the City of McGehee. He attended Antioch Baptist Church in McGehee. He loved to hunt and fish and spend time gardening. Buddy loved the outdoors.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gracie Abernathy Irons and his son Allen Irons.

Survivors include daughters Denice Stitt and her husband Todd of Rison, AR and Tracy Robbins and her husband Allen of Little, Rock, AR; brothers, David Earl Irons of McGehee, AR and Bruce Allen Irons of Gould, AR; sister, Deborah Lynn Bradley of White Hall, AR; grandchildren, Taylor Stitt, Drew Stitt, Cody Irons and Ashlyn Irons.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kirby Caple officiating. Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
