Betty Jo Watson, 82, of Eudora, AR passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. Betty Jo was born September 11, 1935 in Luna, Arkansas to the late Bill and Ivy Dixon Hester. She worked at Nita’s Flower Shop in Eudora, AR for many years. Betty Jo loved to quilt and work in her flower garden. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Eudora, AR where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, C.M. Watson; son, Marvin Joe Watson; brothers, Billy Hester and Frank Hester; grandson, Paul Slade. Survivors include her son, Charles (Saundra) Watson of Portland, AR; daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Downs of Durant, OK; brothers, Robert (Kay) Hester of Pine Bluff, AR, Wesley (Beverly) Hester of Little Rock, AR and Bobby (Evelyn) Hester of Pine Bluff, AR; sisters, Sarah Hester of Pine Bluff, AR and Jewell (Tom) Poole of Clinton, AR; grandchildren, Jason Downs, Bryan Downs, Brandon Watson, Jennifer Slade, Deanne Talley, Kyle Nathan Haley and C.W. Watson and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1-2pm Wednesday March 14, 2018 at Northside Baptist Church in Eudora, AR. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm at the church with Rev. James Kitchens and Rev. Bud O’Neal officiating. Burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora, AR.
