Robert Lee “Bob” Fowler, 81, of Arkansas City, AR passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Bob was born in Arkansas City, AR on September 8, 1937 to the late Stout and Eunice Cotton Fowler. He was a retired superintendent for Williams Maintenance Services. He also worked for Desha County Maintenance Department. Bob loved spending time outdoors hunting Elk, deer and ducks. He also enjoyed NASCAR and dirt-track racing. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by sons, Charles Randall Fowler and Mikie Fowler; brothers, Roy, Bill and Bo; sisters, Ilene, Wilma, Sue and Frances.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Linda Gibson Fowler; son, Stevie (Sherry) Fowler of Arkansas City, AR; daughter, Taunya Fowler of West Monroe, LA; brothers, Douglas Fowler of Monticello, AR and Orvell Fowler of Booneville, AR; sister, Charlotte Rasberry of Corsicana, TX; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-2 pm Saturday February 9, 2019 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Rickey Eppes, Rev. Jody Gannaway and Mark McElroy officiating. Burial will follow at McGehee cemetery.
