Hubert Canute Williams, 83, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019. He was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica on November 15, 1935 to the late Nathaniel and Adina James Williams. Hubert liked to dance. He didn’t sing, but liked to hum. Hubert loved to work in his garden. He was a good house painter and enjoyed listening to Bob Marley.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Polly Williams. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Williams; sons, Noel Williams, Robert Williams, Errol Williams and Alton Williams; daughters, Joann Williams, Anita Williams and Adris Williams; step-son, Patrick Dixon; sisters, Veronica Doglett and Rose Williams; 9 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at 1:00-2:00pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be at Bowie Cemetery in Halley, AR. Arrangements made by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR.
