Obituary for Edward "Eddie" Samuel Sims
Edward Samuel Sims, 78, of Dermott, AR passed away Sunday, May, 12, 2019. Eddie was born in Rosedale, MS to the late Dennis and Audrey Gill Sims. He was a graduate of Dermott High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Arkansas State University.
He served in the United States Army. He was the owner and operator of Ed Sims Construction Company. Eddie was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife Helen Sims; daughter Ashley (Nick) Karamis of Acworth, GA; son, Scott (Kelly) Sims of Monroe, GA; brother, Jack Sims of Sri Lanka; sisters, Beverly Wilkins of Denver, CO and Carol Bachhuber of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Caroline Karamis, Payton Sims and Parker Sims.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service.
