Teddy “Ted” Thornton, 77, of Lake Village, AR, peacefully passed on Thursday, July 18th, 2019 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock after complications from surgery. He was born in Lake City, AR on August 17th, 1941 to the late James Waitman and Blanche Bates Thornton. Ted was the Founding Owner of Southeast Arkansas Realty & Appraisal Company, which was the 2018 Lake Village Chamber of Commerce's Business of the Year. He was a member of Lake Village Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Pete Thornton and his sister, Billie Hall. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Thornton, life-long high school sweethearts; his daughter, Vicki Brannon and husband, Lee Brannon of Morrilton, AR; his son, Teddy Thornton, Jr. of Fort Smith, AR; sister, Shirley (Glen) Fletcher of Lake City, AR; brother, Don Thornton of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Bernice Thornton; grandchildren, Bryan (Holli) Brannon, Brett (Mallory) Brannon, Teddy (Amber) Thornton, III, and Hannah Thornton; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Ty, Winter, Jake Ryan. He was godfather to Molly Hayes. He will be greatly missed by many other family and friends.
