Dorothy Ann Farrell, 96, of McGehee, AR passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019. Dorothy was born in New Albany, MS on September 24, 1923 to the late Robert Thomas and Trannie Barkley Cousar. She was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was an awesome mother. She was VERY outgoing, and always socializing. Never met a stranger, and always doing for others, or trying to. She was deeply religious, and was at church every time the doors opened. In fact, she had a key, and often was the person opening the doors.
She loved cooking and sewing, and the last 2-3 years of her life, it just broke her heart when she wasn't able to cook meals.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sammy Farrell who died in 1982. Survivors include sons, Ron Farrell of Mountain Home, AR and Winfred Farrell of Austin, TX.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 2, 2019 at McGehee Cemetery with Rev. Reggie Russell officiating.
