Betty Jo (Olsen) Fraser, 93, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Betty was born September 10, 1926 in McGehee, Arkansas, a daughter to the late Irene and Ernest Olsen. Betty Jo graduated from McGehee High School and attended Arkansas State Teacher’s College in Conway, AR. She was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. Betty Jo attended First Baptist Church for 43 years, serving as a five-year old Sunday school teacher for 24 years, choir member, WMU leader and Association Leader. She moved to Franklin, TN in January 1992. Betty Jo was a member of the People’s Church in Franklin and served as a church hostess before retiring. She was a member of the Sonshine Class and served as a volunteer teacher.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Fraser and her sister, Ernestine Olson. Survivors include her daughters, Jamie (Jim) Atkins of Franklin, TN and Jo Beth (Lindy) Oliver of Mountain Home, AR; her only grandchild, Robyne (Jeremy) Kennedy of Nashville, TN and two precious great-grandsons, Jackson Fraser Kennedy and Colton James Kennedy.
There was a private graveside service at McGehee Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
