Brother Jessie Lee Henry was born on October 4, 1947 to the late Willie B. Henry and Margaret White Henry in Tillar, AR. Brother Jessie Henry transitioned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on January 8, 2020 at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR, surrounded by family.
Brother Jessie confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and later rededicated his life to Christ at Bold Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health begin to fail him, but continued to praise the Lord in-spite of his failing health . He had a strong faith in Jesus and he frequently reminded his family that he knew exactly where his help and healing came from.
Brother Jessie was a farmer for many years and later went on to work for Bo Maxwell Gin in McGehee, AR until he retired. He was the family comedian and enjoyed fellowshipping with his family any chance he got. He repeatedly told stories from back when he was growing up and instilled knowledge and wisdom into his own children, grandchildren and others. He will truly be missed.
Brother Jessie was preceded in death by his parents Willie B. and Margaret Henry, grandparents, Allen and Estella Henry, Robert Williams, Charlotte White, and Pearl Williams, a brother, John Edward White, an Aunt, Alma Scott, , two nieces, Tracy Henry and Aubri Henry, and two nephews, David Foster, Jr.., and Tyler Henry.
Those left to cherish his memories are: two sons, James (Melveta) Henry, of Tillar, AR, Jerald Henry, of San Diego, CA, the Mother of his children, Shirley Henry of Tillar, AR, Siblings, Willie Ed Henry, Almer Henry, David Henry, Harrell Henry, Lois Fields, Lola Henry, Lorretta Jackson, and John Henry Martin all of McGehee, AR, Vera (Billy) Jordan, of Lake Village, AR, Milton (Lou) Henry, of Kansas City, KS, Jerry (Sandra) Henry, of Helena, AR, Paul Wilbert (Shekeyla) Henry, of Pine Bluff, AR, an Aunt, Arnethia Brown, of Memphis, TN, five grandchildren, Darius (Saadiya) Henry, of San Diego, CA, Kieanis Henry and Zacarias Henry both of McGehee, AR, Jenell Henry, of New Orleans, LA, and Jerald Henry, Jr., of Singapore, 3 great-grand children, Asa, Ahmon, and Gianna and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Becoming In-laws with others is sometimes a difficult bonding process. But I have to say, Daddy made becoming a Henry so easy. He never made it feel like a process! He welcomed me from day one as part of his family and immediately told me he'd never be Mr. Henry to me again. Thank you Daddy for always loving me as your daughter! You were the best Daddy ever! I miss you already and will love you forever! Until we meet again, love Che'♥️
