Clifton “Breck” Breckonridge Smith, III, 74 of Tillar, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Breck was born February 3, 1946 in Natchez, Mississippi to Clifton Breckonridge Smith, Jr. and Johniece Lusk Smith. He graduated from Tillar High School in 1964. Breck was a farmer, banker and worked for Arkansas Department of Corrections. He was an avid McGehee Owl Fan and loved all sports. Breck loved to play music. He was past President of the School Board for McGehee Schools.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sammons Smith. Survivors include his son, Bryan (Marcy) Smith of Newport, AR; daughter, Stefanie (Tommy) Jarrett of Lake Village, AR; sister, Nancy (Robert) Jolly of Dermott, AR; grandchildren, Garrett Smith, Julia Jarrett, Madalyn Smith, Jennifer Jarrett; special friends and family, Rick Sammons, Patsy and Floyd Mangum and Robert Jolly.
Visitation will be held at 11:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, #2 St. Vincent Circle, Little Rock, AR 72205.
