Lemuel Glenn Overton, 70, of Tillar, AR passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. Lemuel was born September 21, 1949 in Dermott, AR to the late Herman Edgar Overton and Glynn Millard Overton. He worked for Terminix Pest Control for 44 years as a manager. Lemuel also served as Mayor of Tillar since 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding. Lemuel loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He served in the United States Army National Guard and he was a member of McGehee Christian Center.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Overton; sister-in-law Annette Overton; brother-in-law Bob Jones.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Shirley Williams Overton of Tillar, AR; son, Lemuel Brent (Miranda) Overton of McGehee, AR; sister, Martha Overton Jones of Crossett, AR; grandchildren, Tristan Grider, Grayson Lemuel Overton and Zayne David Neal Overton; great-grandson, Lemuel Grant Grider.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 10 A.M. Saturday June 6, 2020 at Tillar Cemetery with Rev. Ben White officiating.
