Howard “Bubba” Starks Bramlett, Jr., 64, of Arkansas City, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 from natural causes.
He was born on June 1, 1956 in Dermott, Arkansas to the late Howard Starks Bramlett, Sr. and the late Edith Lavalle Vick Ferrell. Bubba was proud of his career in broadcast journalism. He was a disc jockey for KSSN Radio station in Little Rock, AR., where he broadcast under the name of Kris Knight. He also worked for several other radio stations during his career which included broadcasting the live traffic reports via a helicopter.
Bubba was a caretaker for his mother during her last years, in which we were very grateful.
He was a longtime member of the Arkansas City Baptist Church.
Bubba was a kind, quiet man who loved drinking coffee, sitting on the front porch and mama said he could make cornbread better than she could.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his brothers, Wayne Ferrell of Monticello, AR and Marc Bramlett (Danielle)of Davie, FL; sisters, Diane Bramlett Engelkes of Texarkana, TX and Angie (Tony) Fetters of Farmington, MO; a step-sister, Sherry Hawk (Tim) of Wood River, IL., a very special friend, Kathy Wells of Sherwood, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
