Eva Dean McPhail Norris, 92, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020. Dean worked as Secretary of Greenville High School for many years before retiring. She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 3, 1928 to the late Robert Spurgeon McPhail and Lois Rogers McPhail. Dean enjoyed cooking, working crossword puzzles and painting. She loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dean was a very active member at Chicot Baptist Church for as long as her health permitted.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Buddy” Norris; sisters, Inez Jamison and Bobbie Growthman and her brother, Spurgeon McPhail. Survivors include her son, Tommy (Betty) Norris of Lake Village, AR; daughters, Sally (Hank) Polson of Lake Village, AR and Beth (Johnny) Watford of Morton, MS; grandchildren, Leland Norris, Allen Norris, Clay Polson, Marshall Polson, Emily Withers, Caitlin Bradley and Neely Watford; great-grandchildren, Lucy Polson, Josh Polson, Knox Polson, Ruby Polson, Dean Owen Norris, Gray Withers and Wren Withers.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00am Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville, MS with Rev. David Powers officiating. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of Lake Village, AR.
