Obituary for Frankie Jennings Crabtree

Frankie Jennings Crabtree, 89, of Eudora, Arkansas, passed away at her home September 25, 2020. She was born to James L. Jennings and Nona Modell Haley Jennings on August 20, 1931 in Lula, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Rhonda Crabtree Brown and Pamela Ruth Crabtree; and her siblings, Sis Simpson and Mary Ann Barnes.
Frankie is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years Hendrix “Henny” Crabtree; her daughter, Beth Crabtree Bradley (Brent); her son-in-law, Tommy Brown; her grandchildren Bob Brown, Meagan Brown Moyers (Greg), Kristian Smith, Katie Smith, and Emma Bradley; great grandchildren Garrett Moyers, Ava Moyers, and Sadie Lynn Moyers; her siblings Recy Reeves, Doug Jennings, Linda Hill (Hawk), Jodie Faircloth, James Jennings (Linda), and Donnie Hust.
Frankie was a homemaker and retired bookkeeper/co-owner of Eudora Drug Store where she worked with her husband as bookkeeper for 44 years. She was a member of the Eudora Baptist Church. Frankie truly adored her family, and it was evident in her smile when she talked of them. She insisted on thoroughly spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Morning and afternoon coffee with the “Jennings sisters” was one of her most treasured things. Everyone knew that nothing was ever planned at 10:00am and 3:00pm so as to not interrupt the girls and their coffee. She always greeted everyone with that big smile of hers and a “Hey Hun” or “Hey Shug”. In her later years, she and Henny always went on a morning and afternoon ride no matter what.
The funeral service will be Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 3:00pm at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Pavilion in Eudora, Arkansas under the direction of Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service with Brother Jimmy Wallace officiating. There will be a time of visitation with the family directly preceding the service starting at 2:30. Pallbearers will be Bob Brown, Cole Norris, Clay Reeves, Greg Moyers, Kyle Hill, Ryan Hill, and Andrew Cefalu.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in memory of Pam Crabtree, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203 or Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 164, Eudora, AR 71640.
