Samuel (Coy) Walter Jennings, Jr. 77 of Dermott, AR, a retired heavy equipment operator passed away at his residence October 14, 2020.
Visitation will be held at 9:00-10:00am Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Temple Baptist Church in Dermott, AR. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am at the church with Rev. Bobby Franklin officiating. Interment will be at Dermott Cemetery.
Mr. Jennings was born August 8, 1943 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, a son of the late Samuel Walter Jennings, Sr. and Lois Elizabeth Sweatman Jennings. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and served his country in the U. S. Army. He attended Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner, SC. Mr. Jennings enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and attending church.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years Susan Jennings; daughter, Teresa Jennings Murphy and her husband Melvin of Junction City, KS; son, Samuel Walter Jennings, III of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews in South Carolina. He was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
