Obituary for Clemouth V. "Clem" Humphrey
Clemouth V. “Clem” Humphrey, 84 of Star City, formerly of Halley, AR passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Lincoln Heights Healthcare Nursing Home. Mr. Clem was born in Yell County, AR on November 7, 1936 to the late Jesse Humphreys and Lurie Irons Humphreys.
He served with the Paratroopers in the United States Army. He farmed for many years and also worked as a Security Officer with the Arkansas Department of Corrections at the Delta Regional Unit. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia McCabe Humphrey; son, Steven Humphrey; brother, Clayton Humphrey; sister, Katherine Dalsis.
Survivors include his daughter Velda Humphrey Allen of Star City, AR; grandchildren, Demitria Allen of Monticello, AR, Logan (Paige) Allen of Jonesboro, AR and Zane Humphrey of Kansas; great-grandchildren, Slade Allen, Daxton Humphrey and Silas Humphrey; daughter-in-law Pat Humphrey of Dermott, AR.
Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at Halley Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Memorials may be made to Halley Baptist Church, P.O.
