Obituary for Bob Roy Irons

Bob Roy Irons, 90, of McGehee, Arkansas passed from this life, Saturday, November 21, 2020, at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. He was born in Bluffton, AR on July 27, 1930 to the late Otto and Cora Irons. Waiting to greet him at Heaven’s gates were his parents, brothers, Harold Irons, Kenneth Irons, Lester Irons; sisters, Hazel Dilday, Jean Morris and a host of dear friends.
Bob owned and operated Bob Irons Trucking and he formally worked for Red Ball Motor Freight Trucking Company. His CB radio handle was “Silver Fox.” He was an avid crappie fisherman. Bob loved his family and friends. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Bob leaves behind many loved ones including his “sweetie” and love of his life, Shelba McGee of McGehee, AR; daughters, Rhonda McCool of Star City, AR and Lisa Harvey of Stuttgart, AR; son, Bobby Irons of St. Petersburg, FL; 3 grandchildren that were his absolute pride and joy, Kaitlyn Jones of Bryant, AR, Kyli McCool and Jett Harvey of Star City, AR; sisters, Linda Powell of Lake Village, AR and Mildred Snow of Stanton, TN; as well as one brother, Stanley Irons of Magnolia, AR. Bob also cared deeply for many bonus children, grandchildren and great grands; nieces, nephews, cousins as well as some wonderful friends, he had the fortune of knowing over his 90+ years of life.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at McGehee Cemetery in McGehee, AR with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Pallbearers will be Wesley Curtis, Rodney Irons, Chris Irons, Eric Irons, Timmy Pambianchi and Jeff Snow.
