Eustis Wiley Austin, 84, of McGehee, AR went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born November 7, 1936 at Hughes, AR to the late Zena Mae Story Austin and the late Wiley Hampton Austin. Eustis was a graduate of Tillar High School, the class of 1955. He was a market manager for many years working for several local grocery stores. After his retirement he went back to work for Desha County where he enjoyed his regular Wednesday recycle job and getting to talk to all his old and new friends.
Eustis was preceded in death by his parents, his two brothers, Billy Austin and Bobby Austin and one grandson, John Samuel Gill.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Glenda Appleberry Austin of McGehee, AR; son, Thomas Keith (Marie) Austin of Florence, AR; daughters, Nancy Jo (Danny) Wells of Pickens, AR, Terri Kay (Dale) Williams of Pickens, AR and Rebecca Ann (Kirby) McElroy of Florence, AR; bonus children, Jimmy (Wanda) Howard of Camden, AR and Teresa Howard (Lee) Dunn of Mountain Home, AR. Those who had the honor to call him Granddaddy are Megan Austin, TJ (Marrisa) Austin, Daniel Williams, Dylan (Lacey) Wells, Blake Williams, Blaine (Lacey) Williams, Seth McElroy, Kane (Catelynn) McElroy, Eric (Candace) Howard, Dustin (Chelsea) Howard, Jesse Dunn and Katy Dunn and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will held at 4:00 pm Sunday, December 27, 2020 at McGehee Cemetery with Pastor David Brown officiating.
