Laurence Goldman Jones, 79, of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020. Laurence was born in Calhoun, LA on February 10, 1941 to the late General Golden Jones and Merle Edwina Griffin Jones. He was a simple man who loved God and that was obvious to all who knew him. Laurence was a lifelong carpenter.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Lynn Jones and his grandsons, Jared Phillips and Ryan Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Barbara Jones of Lake Village, AR; sons, Larry (Jaye) Jones of Monticello, AR and Donnie (Sherri) Jones of Lake Village, AR; daughters, Sandra (Robert) Phillips of Halley, AR and Torrie (Carroll Wayne) Sirmon of McGehee, AR; sisters, Joyce McDonald of Enid, OK and Mildred Dallas of Kingdom City, MO; grandchildren, Alanna (Bradley) Phillips, Nicholas Jones, Suzanna Jones, Trevor Jones, Triston Jones, and Dalton Sirmon; great grand-daughter, Layla Phillips.
Visitation will be held at 11:00am-12:00pm Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm at Bayou Mason Cemetery in Lake Village, AR with Rev. Ronnie Garrett officiating. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Jones, Dalton Sirmon, Trevor Jones, Tristin Jones, Bradley Snow, Colby Montgomery and Gavin Montgomery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Warren, Craig Bing, Stephen Beatty, Sr., Mark Owen and Michael Hayes.
