Edna Marie Walker, 88, of Sheridan, Arkansas formerly of Lake Village, Arkansas passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. Marie was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on January 22, 1932 to the late Joe Durham and Annie Kate Durham. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company and a sales clerk at The Nut House & Gift Shop. Marie and her husband, Henry formerly owned and operated The Dairy Bar and Lake Village Cleaners. She enjoyed sewing. Marie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She felt like the sun rose and set around Jordan. She was a charter member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church in Lake Village, AR.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Walker; step-son, Hank Walker; brothers, Odell Rice, Edward Rice and Oliver Durham; sister Bonnie Wardlaw. Survivors include her son, Joe (Dana) Chaney of Sheridan, AR; step-daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Foley of Huron, TN and Patricia (Bill) Fedrick of Royse City, TX; daughter-in-law, Pamela Walker of Canton, MS; grandchildren, Jordan (Michael) Seavers and Andy (Corrine) Chaney; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Clay, and Macy and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 1, 2021 at Bayou Mason Cemetery in Lake Village, AR with Bro. Jim Broach officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bayou Mason Cemetery Fund, 913 Airport Road, Lake Village, AR 71653.
