Obituary for James Dillard "JD" Dunnahoe

James Dillard “JD” Dunnahoe, age 76 of Watson went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born December 25, 1944 in Watson, Arkansas to Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Dunnahoe.

He was a member of South McGehee Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Men’s Sunday school teacher. He was also the former owner of Dunnahoe Auto Sales.

JD was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed gardening and searching for arrowheads. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Eunice King of McGehee and Patsy Falls (George) of Greenbrier and brother-in-laws Jimmy Cooper and Cleveland Lewis of McGehee.

JD is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sue Sitzer Dunnahoe and their three sons: Kevin, Mark, and Brian Dunnahoe, all of McGehee; four grandchildren: Jessica Hammock, Justin Dunnahoe, Natalie Pennington and Dillard Dunnahoe along with four great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his sisters and brother-in-laws: Mary Cooper Johnson (Roy) of McGehee, Mary Frances Spencer (Bill) of Bryant, Barbara Gillum (Pat) of Arkadelphia, Phyllis Kitchell (Delton) of Bryant and brother-in-law Charlie King of McGehee.

There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar, AR with Rev. Kenny Culpepper Officiating. The family is requesting that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
