Obituary for Gwen Beatty
Gwendle Vernice Beatty, age 74 of Watson, AR passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Gwen was born April 18, 1946 in Rison, Arkansas to the late Jimmy Elvis Roberts and Bernice McGriff Roberts. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and canning vegetables. Gwen loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a member of Watson Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sterling Lee Beatty; brother, Elvis Lee Roberts; son, Larry Beatty and her grandson, Bradley Beatty. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Beatty of Watson, AR; brother, Ricky Roberts of Pine Bluff, AR; sister, Stephanie Haire of Star City, AR; grandson, Matthew Beatty and great-grandchild, Riley Beatty.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Watson Cemetery in Watson, AR with Rev. Kenny Culpepper Officiating.
