Mary Joan Beegle, 84, of McGehee, AR passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Belle View Estates Nursing Home in Monticello, AR. She was born in Dumas, AR on May 10, 1936 to the late Luther Allen and Fannie Ethel Shelton Allen. Joan enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Chicot Missionary Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James “Pete” Beegle; sister, Barbara Wargo; brother-in-law, Gary Adams; son-in-law, Biggun Tubbs.
Survivors include her son Billy Beegle and his wife Gloria of Dyersburg, TN; daughter, Jane Tubbs of McGehee, AR; sister, Becky Adams of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren Jason (Tiffani) of Beebe, AR and Amanda (Heath) Montgomery of East End, AR; great-grandchildren, Damian Rana and Kaitlyn Rana; brother-in-law, Andrew Wargo of McGehee, AR.
Visitation will be 11:00-12:00 noon Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside service will be at 12:30 pm at Watson Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating.
