Obituary for Fred Wyatt Beatty

Fred Wyatt Beatty, 83 of Watson, AR passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born January 26, 1938 in Dumas Arkansas to the late Lottie Mae Henley Beatty and Woodrow Beatty.
Fred leaves behind daughters, Sherry Kay Beatty Williamson( Dave), Lori Lee Clark(James), Crystal Lee McInerney (Glen); sons, Fred Wade Beatty, Keith Woodrow Beatty (Lisa), Brian Wyatt Beatty(Arlene), Gary King (Ede); brothers, Robert Beatty, Kenneth Beatty, Rocky Beatty, Ted Beatty and Johnny Woodrow Beatty (Donna); sisters, Shelby Jean Kibbey, Kathy Lephiew, Shirley Hackney, Dinah Kay Hamm & Jo Taunton; grand-kids, Gregory Machut, Dan Machut, Dallas Beatty, Amanda Platz, Gary McInerney, Megan King, Anna Lee Garner, Mindy Jo Goodpaster.
After leaving the Marines in Camp Pendleton, California he started his family and worked at Garrett Airesearch for 20 years. After retirement, he relocated back to Arkansas.
Fred Beatty loved hunting (with Nephew Stephen Beatty Sr.) and fishing and he was very active in Bowling Leagues/Tournaments in California. Once he relocated to home town Watson Arkansas being Mayor of Watson was one of his major accomplishments for many years.
Moving to Arkansas in 1984, he and his late wife Linda Lee Beatty owned & operated Fred’s Place Bar & Grill and F&L Liquor.
Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Josh and Fannie Carter Henley; maternal grandparents, Wyatt and Helen Crocker Beatty; parents, Woodrow and Lottie Mae Beatty; sister, Angela Gail; brothers, Gary Lynn and Sterling Lee Beatty; sisters-in-law, Gwen Beatty, Evelyn Beatty and Arlene Beatty; brothers-in-law, Roger Hackney, Tommy Kibbey and Aubrey Lephiew.
Fred Beatty will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Watson Cemetery.
