Henry Lee Humbert, Sr., 88, of McGehee, AR passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was born in Des Arc, AR on February 10, 1933 to the late Nathaniel Humbert, Sr. and Martha Lucille Stubblefield Humbert. Henry was a lifelong resident of McGehee, AR and was known as “Hen House” and HL. He enjoyed spending time with people. Henry loved his family.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Lillie Pearl Humbert and Georgia Mae Humbert; daughter, Denise Humbert and step-son, Larry Bowlin. Survivors include his sons, Henry Lee Humbert, Jr. of Detroit, MI and Ronnie Lee Humbert of Detroit, MI; daughters, Elaine Humbert (Lindell) Colbert of Detroit, MI and Debra Ann (Alton) Kennedy of Detroit, MI; step-son Huey P. Campbell of McGehee, AR; step-daughters, Sue Willow Lane of Detroit, MI and Margie Ree Steen of Metairie, LA; brother, Donnel (Irma) Humbert, Sr. of Jacksonville, NC; sisters, Catherine Williams of South Bend, IN, Thelma Shields of Monticello, AR, Georgia Steen of Monticello, AR and Martha Wash of Monticello, AR; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to recognize Marsha, Kim and Doneal, Jr. for being his caregivers.
Visitation will be held at 10:00am-11:00am Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating. Burial will be held at Palestine Cemetery in McGehee, AR.
