Robert Cook, 89, of Rohwer, Arkansas passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born March 10, 1932 in Lake Village, AR, the youngest of 7 children, to the late Walter M. and Mattie Lee Cook. Robert served in the United States Navy. He started farming his family farm in 1957 until he retired in 1995. Robert loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming and tinkering around in his workshop. He was a member of J.U. Fehr Hunting Club, where he enjoyed hunting with his in-laws and friends. Robert loved the Lord and enjoyed studying his Bible.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie McDuffie, Louise Cook and Geraldine Mooney; brothers, Walter Cook, K.D. Cook and Buck Cook. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Maureen Fehr Cook; daughters, Tolleice (Toby) Young of Rohwer, AR, Angela (Brian) Davis of Alexander, AR and Robin (Rodger) Bates of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Robert Young, Matthew Young, Jacob Young, Taylor Davis, Ethan Bates and Emilee Bates; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 5:00pm-7:00pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the funeral home with Mark McElroy officiating. Burial will be held at Kelso Cemetery in Kelso, AR.
