Obituary for Loyce Alberta Caloway
Loyce Alberta Caloway, 96, of Little Rock, AR passed away Wednesday July, 14, 2021.
She was born in Humble, TX on September 26, 1924 to the late Stanley and Lillian Blew Smith. Lydia worked for Continental Trailways Bus Lines in McGehee, AR for 13 years. She also worked as a cashier at Walmart for 16 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in McGehee, AR.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Caloway; sons, Grover Randy Caloway and James Wayne Caloway; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Wanda Wyeth of Little Rock, AR and Peggy Garrett of Lafayette, LA; brother, Stanley Elmer Smith of Monroe, LA; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A private memorial graveside service was held at McGehee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929 or a favorite charity.
