Franklin Carrel Sheffield, 81, of Dermott, Arkansas passed away on August 10, 2021. He was born July 4, 1940 in McGehee, Arkansas to the late Johnny Franklin Sheffield and Uberta Spradlin Sheffield. Carrel served in the United States Navy and was a longtime farmer. He was a member of Chickasaw Baptist Church in McGehee, AR.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Cathy Sheffield and Patricia Sheffield; brother, John Anthony Sheffield. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Sheffield of Dermott, AR; son, Johnny (Janell) Sheffield of Bullard TX; daughters, Virginia Sheffield of Phoenix, AZ, Lena Sheffield Rauls of Lake Village, AR and Jamie Sheffield Ladd of Searcy, AR; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00pm Friday, August 13, 2021 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the funeral home chapel with Ken Evans officiating. Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery.
