Charles Howard Reaves Sr., 84, of Fort White, Florida, formerly of Dermott, Arkansas went to his Heavenly home Saturday, August 21, 2021. Charles was born July 2, 1937 in Dumas, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Maxine Connard Reaves; his parents, John H. Reaves and Flora Lozar Reaves; 4 sisters: Beatrice Smith, Jimmie B.(Sister) Sass, Lucille Lindsey, and Maxine Slaughter; 4 brothers: Olen (Son), Jack, JP, Ethridge, and Earl Reaves and one granddaughter, Kersha Arrington. He is survived by his daughters Renae Donaldson of Fort White, Florida and Vicki (Larry) Allen of McGehee, Arkansas; sons Chuck (Libby) Reaves of Bismarck, Arkansas and Ricky (Mandy) Reaves of Trenton, Florida; sisters Louise Spurlock and JoAnn (Don) Stringfellow; brother Richard Reaves; 6 grandchildren: Kaleb Ballinger, Brianna Donaldson, Jalen Allen, Taylor Partain, Dylan Allen, and Samantha Reaves; 5 great-grandchildren: Destin Christmas, Scianna Arrington, Ally Knowles, Jeffrey Partain III, and Amber Partain; brother-in-law, John (Nadine) Connard; sisters-in-law, Betty Connard and Lisa (Michael) Golden; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a very special loved one, Lisa (Norman) Rowe.

Charles was devoted to his family. He worked as a carpenter, building many houses in the Southeast Arkansas area. Before retiring, he worked for the Dermott School System as Maintenance Supervisor. He enjoyed working outdoors and building things.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 26 from 5 -7pm at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR. Graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, August 27 at 10am at Tillar Cemetery with Rev. Andy Connard officiating.
